Aaron Goldman, a 12 - year practicing multidisciplinary artist, organizer, and educator who is currently based in Austin, TX, working to connect and engage his local community through a multitude of art and education initiatives -- collectives, cooperatives, and community organizations that focus on social, economic, and environmental justice.
Aaron views art as an expressive tool that is helpful in making sense of the world. He believes art’s greatest strength is its ability to help visualize what may seem impossible. With this sentiment in mind, Aaron’s work embraces art and activism as a way to challenge injustice in our world and envision what else is possible. He works in a variety of different mediums including performance art, printmaking, digital media, drawing, sculpture, and puppet-making.
He received a BFA in Studio Art from the University of Texas in Austin in 2012 and received an MFA in Community Arts from the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore, Maryland.
